Nothing so prosaic. The Nobrean occupation’s ripples extend far beyond their planet, and terrestrial artisans have made a robust business in icons and figures inspired by their strife. It would appear my own clade has joined the frenzy for mementos of Solo Nobre, unsatisfied by the deluge of combat footage and Concern-driven celebrity which flood the synchnet.
Like guilty lovers, they try to hide their secret pleasures - scintillating artifacts nestled behind antique volumes, prizes transferred between jealous fingertips. With every exchange, the lustrous models grow more precious in the passing.
Outwardly, my brethren maintain their loathing for anything touched by the soil. But I have seen the truth: their shining, sparkling hoards.
How they admire themselves, reflected in the soildwellers’ eyes.
